Hate to go in the hole the first game. On the other hand I suppose it's best to get the match against England out of the way right up front rather than getting into a situation where they're the last match and a must win for the US to get out of group. This way we play England and then know what we have to do to get past the rest.

The US will need all the help it can get from the woodwork, but a victory is not mission impossible. That being said, the defense is extremely vulnerable. If you don't want to put too much stock in tinker-time tune-up Turkish friendlies, just compare their 13 goals ceded in the CONCACAF hex vs. 6 in the last WC cycle.

Remember, you heard it here first!!:-) I'd say you've been smoking the wrong sort of leaves! Whatever the merits of England or the USA, thinking the USA are going to win the match 4-0 is pure madness. I could see a draw though... -- Classic literature on audio: http://www.textbookstuff.com/ |
