Some stats don't mislead. A forward who scores 10 goals a season for a team
is more valuable than a forward who only scores 5 for the same team.

This becomes doubly so when the same player who scored more also had more
than double the assists.

But spurs fans were gutted when he left. You can still find debates on
forums about whether they'd take him back. Many would.

Wish he'd scored Le Tissier's goals.

In a manner of speaking.

: Manchester United were one of the best supported teams in the world even

Oh, brother... the reality slap is going to hit you particularly hard, when it
comes.

I'm afraid you are wrong mate, we went 27 years with nothing even got
relegated and during it all we still had the biggest crowds in the
country. Playing in the old second division we were still the best
supported club.

Times change, especially with worldwide instant video, etc. Those who rely on
the old paradigms will find themselves disappointed.
