Labour's answer was to pour loads of money into the NHS regardless of whether it was a good thing or not. There are too many administrators and not enough medical professionals running the hospitals. They could have organised a much better strategy as opposed to pouring money in. It has not solved the problems that exist within the NHS. -- Count Baldoni

Whoever wins this election as the governing party will find out the job is a poisoned chalice. There are so many harsh cuts to make that the governing party will be kept out of power in subsequent elections for about a generation. -- Count Baldoni

You can usually see what's going to happen in the future by studying things that have happened in the past. This is particularly true of politics. If a party creates the NHS, funds it, believes in it for nearly 70 years, they are more likely, 'in the future', to do their best for it. If there's another party that has historically mistrusted the NHS, said that everyone should buy their own health insurance, has starved the NHS of funds and has stated they are the party of low taxation, they are less likely to put money into it in the future. This isn't scaremongering, it doesn't involve phsychic powers, it's just listening to what politicians say and watching what they do. > > You don't have any proof of your claims, so we'll leave it there. Can you give one reason why you think public services will be better off under the Tories than Labour? |
