Heard it all before, last season you were saying Ronaldo was our whole
team, it's water off a ducks back

I think, with a fully-fit Van Persie in their team for most of the season,
Arsenal would be up there with Chelsea right now. The remaining players
play lovely football and Fabregas is always worth a few goals from midfield
a-la Lampard, but Van Persie was the only one who had the 'cutting edge'
Arsenal are often cited as missing at the moment. For what it's worth, I
think Van Persie's an underrated player and Arsenal miss him as much as
Liverpool miss Torres. Lovely one-touch passing around the edge of the box
is all well and good but you still need someone who could burst through the
backline and snack the ball into the back of the net, and RVP does that
pretty well. I'm still far from convinced by Eduardo or Bendtnar.

Without Rooney, Man Utd would probably be below Arsenal right now.

The only one of the big clubs who don't seem to rely on their top goalscorer
so heavily is Chelsea, who did fine without him when he went to Africa last
month. Hence why they'll win the league this year, probably at a canter if
Rooney gets injured or loses form for a few games.

Steve just can't let this go regarding Arsenal. As indicated no
increase in interest and 25 years to pay it. SteveH is like a dog with
a bone.

Eduardo looked decent until that injury and I have a hunch like many
others that Bendtner will never cut it at this level. Van Persie is a
quality striker who knows how to find the net but he has had a terrible
time of it with injuries. It looks like Wenger is hoping to get
Chamakh (spelling?) on a free transfer this summer.

It has only come up because of your obsession with United's results and
finance.

Making out that Arsenal are to be held up as an example of how it should
be done, when the reality is that they're more likely to have problems
than most other 'big' clubs. Even worse, you haven't had any success on
the pitch to back up the spending and borrowing.

Let's put it in a simple manner.

You have borrowed more money than you can raise from selling the burgers
you have in stock.
