The idea that anyone else would want to sign up Berbatov, even at a giveaway
price so as to sweeten a much bigger deal - does take some believing I'd agree.

You'd imagine that such a prospect would be more likely to put people off.

What would you expect them to say ?

"We're stuck with Berbatov for another year as nobody else has ever shown
any interest in signing him.

And the club can't give him a free given what we paid for him only 2 years
ago."

So yet another who believes that the question was is Berbatov worth more
than Tevez not was Berbatov worth 30mil ...

A simple question was he worth 30mil or not (hint - the answer is no)?

And we are yet to see how he'll cope with his 2nd and 3rd seasons. On
past evidence, not very well. Especially if the manager doesn't suck him
off after every match.

Bit of a moot point, as Fergie has said he's not for sale.

Riiiiiiight.

Have you ever thought that it's more to do with formations and the other
players in the side, rather than 'they only play well together'.

As I said, leave the football talk to those who appreciate the game. You
obviously don't.

Is any player worth 30m? (hint - the answer is no)

Players are worth what the selling club are willing to accept and what
the buying club are willing to pay.

It's no more complex than that.

Was Ronaldo worth 80m? - certainly not, but you'd have to be mad not to
accept that. You'd also have to be completely insane to pay it, too.
