LOL .. yeh right. Here's something ... take what you think are top ten
players in the PL (Berbatov isn't in that obviously) and look at how
much each is worth and then sit back and say Berbatov is worth 30mil.

Oh and "a far bit better" ... he's worth 30mil according to you so a
far bit better is exactly good is it?

You seem to be a bit deluded. In his first season at United, Berbo
was the best United player, and number 4 overall, that is, firmly top 10:

As about the price - that's a different issue, since prices of that
magnitude are silly. But in any event, he was worth more than let's say
Tevez, and that was reflected in the price that Fergie refused to pay.

Greaves was scoring for fun domestically, and he didn't score the majority
of his International goals in friendlies against the likes of Latvia,
Cyprus, Malta and Luxembourg.

Bulgaria have only appeared (briefly) in 1 European Championship and no
World Cups during Berbatov's career, so it's impossible to compare his
International scoring record to anyone else who plays for a successful
nation. It's like saying that a non-league player must be as good as Rooney
because he's scored the same amount of goals in a season.

Regardless of how highly Ferguson rated him, even before buying him
the fact remains that there's never been any "silly tabloid
talk" about anyone else wanting to sign him, has there ? Ever.

Even Man City haven't shown any interest in him. Yet they're all queuing
up to pay 50 mill for a "crock" like Torres who's almost guaranteed to
be out for half the season, but where Berbatov is concerned nobody wants to
know. Doesn't that tell you something ? Its not exactly as if Fergie is having
to fight to hold onto him is it ?

STOP PRESS: latest news is that Ferguson is hoping to offload
Berbatov as a makeweight in order to sign Philip Lahm from
Bayern Munich

Credited to the Express. So it has to be true. Even though it's not on
their website.

The story that is on the website is that Berbatov is 'fantastic' and
'will be with us next year'.

HTH.
