Trochowski's selection flew in the face of the aggressive, attacking approach adopted in the previous games. Schweinsteiger sat too deep because Lowe was afraid of a counter to their counter attack when there was no need. Cacau would have done better than Trochowski, but was injured. Low also seemed to have lost confidence in Marin. Anyway, I base my "choking" judgment on the fact that Germany's midfielders missed more than a few passes when they weren't being pressed. I find it hard to explain otherwise.
