In any case, my AARGh was about Evanilson, not Carey. The guy is a former Brazilian NT player, 13 points in FS and 36 points in CLFS, and definitely, unquestionably, a dedicated right back! Should have been much higher than 62. There's always some South American that screws me up. > > > The next matchups are going to be key. Remember that back then I was sure that I was going to kill Abubakr at the RD and LD positions, but he slotted in some midfielders (Petre and Davids) there and won the match. So my assumption was that a central defender would do better in CM than a winger (Giggs actually has played a few games at CM. But would you put Marchionni or Tonetto there?) Also, because of the last match I decided to trust only the main position a player is listed at. Kaya and Luna were supposed to be able to play at RM and RB respectively, and they killed my score. Fresi, on the other hand, picked by Abubakr, who has been useless his entire career playing mostly at CD and now is in some Serie D side, also scored a respectable 60 at CM. Bottom line, whatever I do, I screw up. But i'm still challenging TraBOTtoni. > > > > 8. Dzsudzs k, Bal zs 77 - 71 Tonetto, Max > > > Yeah, yeah, yeah. > > Yes, debatable. No, that's not what I meant. The Dude was quite clearly the best LM in the draft, and probably the second best player altogether, after bleeping Evanilson! > > > 9. The question is whether poor little David Pino (a fast striker who doesn't seem to even play much in Segunda B) would have scored better here. D

Miniger Law of Murphy: if a player is supposed to have a secondary position... it depends: if he's a player of yours, he will suck; if he has been picked from your opponent, he will perform superbly. > Fresi, on the other hand, picked by Abubakr, who has been useless his > entire career playing mostly at CD and now is in some Serie D side, > also scored a respectable 60 at CM. Right. But Hodgson played Fresi as midfielder (with horrendous results, of course), so he has some experience in that position. > Bottom line, whatever I do, I screw up. ....a shorter version of the Miniger Law of Murphy... > But i'm still challenging > TraBOTtoni. After the end of the Miniger tournament, right? I think you'll win: once you know how to play, if you aren't unlucky you should win against a player with almost perfect information but no strategy. > > > > 8. I'm pretty sure we'll soon see him on a bigger stage. Thanks for the info. I didn't mean to imply he was an inferior player than Tonetto, it's just that I had heard about him before, so I didn't know what to expect. Abraço, Luiz Mello |
