Great, so you pick the missile up the second it comes over the horizon - with a 65-metre tall carrier (that's being generous), that's a smidge under 30 km. At mach 2.5, which is what these missiles do, that gives you 35 seconds to do something. Good luck with that. No, the only way to defend a carrier against this sort of threat, as the US navy well knows, and expresses in its doctrine, is to stop a launch platform getting in range. If you have sophisticated airborne radar above water and world-class sonar below it, and a wing of ASW helos and strike aircraft to deal with what you find, as a carrier group does, you can do this.
