Four first team centerbacks, > plus Kelly and Ayala over in the reserves.......? But would strikers *want* to sign for Liverpool under Rafa? They've seen what happened Keane and Aquilani. Why would any world-class, attack-minded player want to come to a club where he would be left on the bench in favour of Kuyt and N'gog? I don't think the problem is that Rafa won't sign strikers. It's that no striker in his right mind would risk his career by going to Anfield. Rafa's reputation has caught up with him. Goodbye and good riddance Rafa. -- + His Holiness Pope Pompous XVIII “The liberation of the South American republics was planned by Freemasons in Spanish lodges meeting in London” - William R. Carra might well continue to play to a good level for the next couple of seasons, or he might crash and burn like Henchoz. I think it is great that the team is finally trying to buy some promising youth. -- /jussi If you never tell a lie to her, You don't have to remember anything. * The Streets

When you've spent millions on players like Torres, Mascharano, Johnson, Aquilani, Keane, Babel, Kuyt and Rieira only to finish seventh then cheap, *promising youth* is all you have left. Seems the strategy advanced seven years ago - to sack Houllier and bring in a high-profile manager who would attract the very best to Anfield has failed. Spectacularly. So now you're having to come up with another strategy. Do we have to accept this one as well, the same way we were forced to accept your failed policy of seven years ago, which has now resulted in six years of unending tedium and irreversible bankruptcy? -- + His Holiness Pope Pompous XVIII “The liberation of the South American republics was planned by Freemasons in Spanish lodges meeting in London” - William R.
