Liverpool only Cup and League

Ian Rush

Games played - 329 goals scored 139 strike rate 42%

Robbie Fowler

Games played - 493 goals scored 224 strike rate 45%

Fernado Torres

Games played - 116 goals scored 72 strike rate 62%

I'd leave off all the thinking, if I were you chum.

It doesn't appear to be your strong suit.

Yeah just think Pope.

If only Rafa had lived up to his promise and achieved fourth place instead of
Spurs, Liverpool could have been playing Young Boys next week.

What else can he do?

Help Liverpool to a league title? Help Liverpool to a Champions League
win? Help Liverpool to an FA Cup win?

You're the one who said he has an "unblemished" record for Liverpool. Well
until he brings a League or Champions League or FA Cup medal home to sit
on the shelf alongside all his LFC DVDs most people will rightly think his
record for Liverpool is very much a blemished one. One of the top strikers
in the world, apparently, and not a single major trophy to show for it.

And you tell us that's an unblemished record?

Sorry pal - it's you who needs to put his thinking cap on, not I.

In terms of his loyalty to the club his record more than unblemished.

Its almost unique.

Any other of the top strikers in the world, finding themselves in the position
Torres finds himself in, where he still hasn't got a single trophy to show for his
efforts would have been out of Anfield and away to sunnier climes faster than
a rat up a drainpipe. Well before now,

And yet all Torres gets to show for his loaylty to the club and his 62%
strike rate are derision and sneers from the likes of yourself.

In any case if I remember rightly Torres was reported to have made his remark
about the club needing at least four more players well before Hodgson
went out to visit him on holiday. It may even have been before Hodgson was
appointed.

Well before !

Hodgson visited him on holiday and it was all pals. and Hodgson came back and
reports that Torres wants to stay - not that he'd ever said any different - and that
Hodgson
was looking forward to working with him.

In the meantime Torres has said nothing.

Nothing!

Then two weeks later or whenever it is Hodgson then comes out with his whine
about what Torres had said months ago!

After!

Its a shame Hodgson didn''t take the opportunity to have this out with the
player when he visted him on holiday, rather than announce it to the press
two weeks later.

I was giving Hodgson the benefit of the doubt up until that point.
