I doubt that sum very much. He wasn't worth £40m when people still
thought he was good and back when they didn't realise Liverpool were
flat broke.

If one of the City Arabs were dopey enough to wave a cheque for half
that, he'd probably lose a finger the speed H&G would snatch it off
him.
