Yeah, botanically it's a drupe, related to peaches, cherries and plums.
Although in culinary terms it's usually called a nut, the correct botanical
definition is a drupe.

Similarly, botanically a peanut isn't really a nut either, it's legume (or
pod).

Brazil nuts, cashews, coconuts, horse chestnuts, pine nuts and pistachios
are not really nuts either.
