I am not really sure that it is the foreign players or the money that
explains the lack of world class english players.

However many people do think that.

So why don't uefa create a proper european league, the top teams from
each european country play in it instead of playing in the their
domestic league.

Certainly in england it would make the premier league much more wide
open, you could still have foreign players but have a tight cap. In the
european league you could have as many foreign players as you like.

And you could add in promotion and relegation, the top teams from all
the domestic leagues compete in a play off in the summer to see who goes
up and who goes down.

England have no good players. they never really have. They won in 1966
by cheating and they will never win again. England are minnows in
world football. Except this and move on.

Yet they went farther in the World Cup than Italy did?
