I doubt it's the only reason, Barca's precarious current financial
situation shouldn't be underestimated in this equation either. As for
Curly's comment that "the boy can't make up his mind," that much is
pretty apparent and Fabregas has said that much himself. He's torn
between his hometown club and his loyalty to Wenger, who he considers
a second father.

No defence for Xavi, he went on to say.... "Their team is simply not
competitive"

Real Madrid have found themselves a new fan!!!

Precarious financial circumstances hasn't always stopped a club from
splashing out on a player, even one that they don't really need. All
the indications in this fracas seem to be that Barcelona are willing
to buy but Arsenal are holding out.

Yeah, whatever, but that's not the reason he's staying at Arsenal.

If that wasn't the reason he would have been gone a year or two ago,
he has stated so himself. If he has told you something different,
please do share.

Barcelona weren't interested a year or two ago and it has only
recently dawned on him that he's a Catalan. He must have been having a
good time in London before that.
