From: lescor on 5 Aug 2010 07:59 The Betfair cash says the following; Chelsea 2.78 approx odds 9-5 Man U 14.5 ...........................14-5 Man C 6.5 ........................... 11-2 Arsnl 7.4 ............................. 13-2 L'pool 15.0 .............................. 14-1 Spurs 42.0 .............................. 41-1 Club loyalties apart, does anyone think they spot some value here, keeping in mind that this is a moving market which will fluctuate week by week ? The only one which stands out to me is Liverpool. A lot will depend on how quickly Gerrard and Torres return to form and if the free acquisition, Cole , still has it to offer? But they have a new manager -which must seem like a breath of fresh air to the players - and look like getting a massive cash input from China very soon. No surprise if they are around 7-1 after a few weeks and anyone taking that 14-1 could make a nice profit by laying the whole lot off. Needs a good start so maybe a bit too iffy for my money, but I suspect that I might regret it later? Any other thoughts? LC

Only real value is Spurs really, but I can't see them getting better than 3rd. > > The only one which stands out to me is Liverpool. Gonna be too late though, only about 3 weeks left to spend it now unless we start buying in January with half the season gone. I'm expecting better this season than last, but I reckon we'll have to be content just to build and strengthen ready for the 2011/12 season. ECL qualification a slim possibility, but after all the upheaval I reckon it would be a pretty decent achievement. |
