Only grass supports ace monster freaks like Isner and Mahut. Ban
grass! Its an invalid surface! You don't need much talent to win
there. Will Isner ever be able to serve 110 aces on clay? NEVER!

Har-Tru would be a reasonably good choice. The green color would satisfy
the hard-core traditionalists. Playability would suit better the post
Rosewall guys.

It would complement nicely the red clay season, the proximity of RG and
Wimbledon would cease to be a problem.

It's a win win solution.

That might have been true at first, but some of the tall, big servers are
also very good players. I saw Del Potro at the Aus open get beaten by
Federer - who could get his serve back. By the US Open he had improved the
rest of his game so much he won it. They used to be able to win on a big
serve, but have had to improve their other game.
I once watched a match between Todd Martin and Karlovic, mainly because a
girl from my tennis club was a ball girl there. It was the most boring
match I have watched. There never looked like being a service break, but
Martin won all three tiebreakers.
The other side of the coin is that the bigger you are the heavier you are.
Your strength only increases as the square of your height, but your weight
increases as the cube. This might not sound like a lot from five foot ten
to seven feet, but it is quite noticeable.
This also means the very tall players are likely to hurt themselves.

tennis was found on grass. If history repeat tell them to try it on
brick
