You've got to love US coverage. My favourite moment so far is the
Dodge challenger ad.

USA (4-4-2): Howard; Cherundolo, DeMerit, Onyewu, Bocanegra; Donovan,
Bradley, Clark, Dempsey; Findley, Altidore.

ENGLAND (4-4-2): Green; Johnson, Terry, King, A. Cole; Lennon,
Lampard, Gerrard, Milner; Heskey, Rooney.

I thought Buddle might partner Altidore, and wasn't sure if Onyewu
would be fit (still not sure) but no big surprises.

Is Findley any good?

That's a pretty spotty looking English lineup.

15' 1-0 England (Gerrard 4')

Exactly the start the English needed.

And what is it with all the early goals in this tournament, just
today??? And the SHITTY defending!!!

Heinze at 6' for the Argentines, Jungsoo at 7' for the Koreans, and
more bad defending springs Gerrard free to put one past the keeper to
put England in front...

Some of the coverage says that people are being generous at the
English keeper, but, keep the sheet clean -- get three points now.

So far @14 min:

* the quick sprint by Gerrard
* no control of the middle by the USA
* bad passing off the corner kick by the USA for a wasted opportunity

The history of the USA is that it is surprisingly good at working down
by a goal, thought it's not an enviable position.
