I have lost the count of the goals I saved with my hands on the line
(weirdly, I never was red carded, I mean for that, there were plenty of
other reasons to red card me really :)), or the ones I saw saving in this
way. It is part of the game, everyone who play football accepts it.

There is plenty of more dishonourable than that, I actually think it was
eroic, if not legendary, the guy sacrified himself to save his team and
ultimately played a big part on taking that to their 1st semifinal in 40
years, they will truly put up statues of him overlooking the Rio de la Plata
....

It is cheating to break the rule on purpose, whether it is sanctioned or
not.

It'd be heroic to take one for the team if he also wasn't a first class
diver. Now it only seems like he knows all the tricks in the book.
