Both live and on replay, you can see that as he came up to dissent with the call he inadvertently spat on the referee. The team to feel sorry for is Slovenia, who showed a lot of spunk and wasn't relying on help from outside. Anyway, congrats to USA and England. Unless Germany finds a way to finish second, there's going to be a surprise semifinalist (Uruguay, Korea, USA and Serbia/Ghana). D

Yeah, I thought Algeria's lack of attacking was weird...they needed goals as badly as us. They had occasional dangerous counters but never committed that many guys forward. I do feel for the goalie though, who played very well in both his games.

I would think it was for the dissent -- ref could've booked two players for Algeria for their lip. Mike
