Bilyaletidinov with two goals, the first of which was a decent solo effort ("turns" defender and whallops ball into net from edge of area). Then in the last five, Slovenia awoke from their slumber, pull one goal back thanks to a FIFA09 style "rebound" goal (keeper palms shot right into path of attacker who heads into empty net) and very nearly made it 2-2 but for a fine save by Akinfeev at the end. This one's set up very nicely for the second leg. From what I remember the ground at Maribor is quite compact, which could make a hostile atmopshere for the Russians? Although I still think the way Russia plays suits away performances more than home ones. RM
