I was at Germany - Argentina. Germany were under some pressure of

Argentina weren't that good, and didn't nearly have to be.

I agree, but Yugoslavia were often expected to do something in the past
but always flamed out. Maybe (like Spain) the new generation has
different nerves.

Who would I favour? Spain and Brasil. Given that, who would I think
would win? Someone Else.

Not really. Germany were the better team.

I assume you mean the friendly last week?

I thought the Argies played well and forced the Germans to play so
poorly.

So as not to upset Weafx gods or whatever? i will pick USA to win the
World cup.

Against England? I would agree but they didn't get the job done and
could have lost with a little bad luck.

Yes...

: I thought the Argies played well and forced the Germans to play so
: poorly.

I thought so too at first, and then in the second half the Argies were
playing ridiculously arrogant, and sloppy, football essentially fumbling
away obvious chances to attack.

The goal was an incredible blunder. For me the worst part though was
losing Demichelis for the next 3 weeks (maybe more).

: So as not to upset Weafx gods or whatever? i will pick USA to win the
: World cup.

No... just that I don't expect the obvious favourites to win. They'll
find a way to screw up.

Don't be surprised if this turns out to be Holland's first Cup.

I would not be. They are practically the home team.
