Shame that all the part-time fans can't put two and two together like
this.

2006/07 net spend: £17m = 2007/2008 finish: 4th
2007/08 net spend: £34m = 2008/2009 finish: 2th
2008/09 net spend: £2.5m = 2009/2010 finish: 7th
2009/10 net spend: £0.01M = 2010/2011 finish: ?

2007: £44m debt (£3m per year to service)
2008: £350m debt (£36.5m per year to service)
2009: £378m debt (£40m per year to service)
2010: £400M+ ?

Rafa was made the scapegoat for Hicks and Gillett's abysmal financial
and executive management of the club.

Now Rafa's gone, things are only going to get worse.

But keep cheering, the fat spanish waiter's gone, right?

Were you saying the same when Houllier was being hounded out of the club?
No you weren't. What goes around comes around. Serves the lot of you
right. You wanted a good manager out to bring a better one in. What you
got was a selfish, career-minded robot, who has by his wild and
extravagant spending effectively finished us off.

You know my views on Houllier Pope. Houllier was actually given all
the money he wanted, to be fair
