MH. No nonsense, nothing goes by him. Has seen most of the tricks in
the bag in his time here.

Dare I suggest RD for RD? For LD, I'd suggest one who in my twisted
mind is the same (metaphorical) person in a different country - RMardin.

The first of these has to be Benny. The other CD would be Enzo. Both
of them have been around long enough (on rss and in the world) to have
the experience needed for CD. Neither of this afraid to get stuck in
when needed.

Dwight Beers has the tenacity to man the midfield and is cheeky enough
to try the odd speculative shot from distance.

Danielle is clearly the first winger I'd put on my team sheet. While
many other names popped up first (including you, Anders), I'd like to
give youth a shot. I'll put Scrutineer on the other wing.

The first name that pops up for OM is Andrea. He has a natural knack
for an assist while possessing a great deal of creativity himself.

I'll go for the Brazilian dream pair of Jesus and Lleo.

Subs (I cheated and picked 6 instead of 5):
Thach (GK)
Abubakr (CD/DM)
Anders (RM/RF)
Mark V (LM/LF)
Alkamista (OM/DM)
GBUser (STR)

Coach: Bordon (when he gets back)

Shouldn't we offer this position to Victoria "The Special One" Barrett
if she makes a comeback?

Could I then be the coach?

I missed a lot of stalwarts like Luiz, Juan etc. Here's a thought.
Cancel my subs and create another RSS team to play the one I created.

I second Sid and really can't look beyond Michael Hynes (MH) for this
position. Mature, experienced, leads by example in terms of starting
threads and directing discussion. Yep, solid choice.

Abukabr and Enzo.

Danielle /Futbolmetrix & Alkamista can be to the point when they want
to be. I wouldn't want to be a lone stiker bearing down on the box
with that pair in my way........

I'm going Benny (or Mehdi, if he'd rather be known by his new handle).
If it's workrate you want just take a look at the sheer volume of
Serie A and Champions League match reports he's posted over a period
covering what I'd guess to be around 15 years. A DM who will run for
you all game long and then stop on after the game to do a few laps of
the pitch for good measure.

This position is about setting things up. Millvella must therefore be
an obvious choice with all the fantasy leagues and games he's set up,
closely followed by Jesus Petry for running the UCL Sophisticated
Predictions Contest.

Mark V has the quick wit to play in this position.

> RF/LF:    Anyone who can put the ball inside the posts

Majin Will / Nikuli William / Google Beta User for a solid finisher
and Jim Goloboy as a sharp witted striker.

So, my first XI would be:

GK: MH

LD: Enzo

CD: Futbolmetrix

CD: Alkamista

RD: Abukabr

DM: Benny

LM: Jesus Petry

OM: Mark V

RM: Millvella

LF: JimGol

RF: Majin Will

My subs bench would look like this:

GK: Bruce Scott

LD/RD: Diabolik

CD / DM: Werner Pichler (for his hard work with the Europa League
reports this season)

OM: Torn between calling the creative Paul Mettewie out of retirement
or going for the extremely controversial choice of Lord of War - as
much as he obviously goes round looking for responses, he does create
discussion and creating chances is what this position is all about.

FW: Sven M - to the point, efficient finisher in true German style.

Apologies to any I've missed out.
