OK you can know complain without fear of retribution on how poor most of the games have been so far in the first round. This is the worst start to a WC that i have seen in quite a while ( or ever). I am not sure if it is that the teams are so evenly matched or that everyone is taking a more pragmatic approach to this WC? Most will assume that Brazil will put 4 goals past North Korea, but i am going to sit on the fence and say that the North Koreans will run themselves to the ground in order to stop Brazil and maybe only lose 1-0?

With hot weather players end up being exhausted sooner and are more liable to make defensive mistakes. > Most will assume that Brazil will put 4 goals past North Korea, but i > am going to sit on the fence and say that the North Koreans will run > themselves to the ground in order to stop Brazil and maybe only lose > 1-0? More likely that Brazil will light up the fireworks, but not entirely impossible that the North Koreans will surprise. I'd like to root for North Korea if not for the fact that they are, well ... North Korea. D

Portugal showed basically nothing, except that first shot by Ronaldo. I quite liked the way CIV moved and attacked, except they weren't able to be very dangerous in front of goal. Maybe when Drogba is fully fit things will improve. I have to say, from what I saw in this game I'd like CIV to advance.

One more thing, I thought the ref should have let the final move end before whistling. Not that it would have likely made any difference, but you can never know.

I'm tired of the American announcers acting like they suck off any brazilian soccer player if given the chance. Its like they act as if they are the second coming of Christ or something... |
