Wed, Aug 4, 2nd leg (away goals count):

Vitória-BA 2-1 Santos-SP
[Wallace 57', Júnior 78' - Edu Dracena 45';
agg.: Santos 3-2]
Neymar's cross found defender Edu Dracena and he
firmly headed into the top corner to practically decide
the cup. Wallace's nice volley took a deflection on a
defender to go past the good young 'keeper Rafael.
Júnior lobbed beautifully in the far corner to give
Vitória a 100% home record, but Santos lifted their
first Copa do Brasil in André's farewell, which will in
all probability be Robinho's farewell also.
Santos are qualified to Copa Libertadores 2011.

Tchau!

This game was always going to be decided by its first goal. Had
Vitoria gone 1-0 up I figure the Barradão would become quite a bit of
a cauldron... with Santos going up 1-0 and Vitoria needing FOUR goals
in a half, it quieted down their fans for a while (only way to silence
a northeastern crowd apparently :-)).

Vitoria fought bravely, but once they went down it was almost over...
I didn't think they were that close to finding those necessary further
two goals, and indeed Viafara had something to say about keeping
Santos to one goal only. Congrats to Santos, deserving champions and
in special to Dorival Junior, who has won the last three tournaments
he's coached in.

If I'm not mistaken, both teams finished with a 100% home record.
