From: Jesus Petry on 4 Aug 2010 10:49 **************************************** Semifinals, 2nd leg (away goals count): Universidad de Chile (Santiago) 0-2 Chivas Guadalajara (MEX) [Xavier Báez 23', Jonny Magallón 55'; agg.: Chivas 3-1] Miguel Pinto made at least four sensational saves in this game, but what will be remembered is his Green-esque howler when Báez tried his luck from distance on a rebound from a tackle. The ball went in just like in the (in)famous USA goal against England in the World Cup, but the shot was stronger this time. La U hit the bar twice and forced a beautiful save by Michel in the final minutes of the first half, but early in the second, Magallón headed on a long ball, Pinto made an incredible one-handed save to keep it out of the net, but the same Magallón rifled in the rebound. This result means the winners of the other semifinals (São Paulo FC or Internacional, both from Brazil) will qualify directly to the Club World Cup, since Mexican teams can't represent Conmebol.
