In today's shootouts the penalty takers, without exception, pointed
their "off" foot in the direction of their shot. The keepers didn't
seem to be paying a hell of a lot of attention. Diego Forlan seems to
be one of the few players who can point one way and shoot the other.
We'll see if that comes up against Ghana.

You know the kicks taken today weren't "penalty kicks" There is no
such thing in a shootout, they are "kicks from the penalty spot" as
they are taken without an infringement taking place.

Actually "kicks from the penalty mark" is correct. See page 50 of the Laws
