Rafa has gone, and there's absolutely no way of knowing whether any of those players would have been sold (or been happy to be sold) under Benitez if he was still here next season.

That's an outrageous assumption - ex Liverpool managers don't come into the equation and I for certainly didn't mention one My point was that the proposed "NEW" Liverpool manager quite probably excites no one and, in my opinion, players will see the rumoured appointment as a lack of ambition, and those with any of their own will leave the club.

If any of them *do* leave and subsequently say that they'd have stayed if Rafa was still here, or if Hosgson hadn't been appointed, I'd be very surprised. |
