Dunga gave Gilberto a few minutes towards the end, and pushed Bastos into midfield. That may be another possible plan if Elano doesn't start against Netherlands, i.e. a midfield with Gilberto Silva, Dani Alves, and Bastos, while Gilberto fills in at left-back to deal with Robben. Does that mean either Kleberson or Josue will start alongside Gilberto Silva ? I assume Dani Alves is playing in Elano's spot already. > > Abrao, > > Luiz Mello

The other, Humberto, was good in the qualifiers which of course means nothing. -- http://soccer-europe.com Rss feed : http://soccer-europe.com/RSS/News.xml

Yes, Josu to be more precise. I would be surprised if Dunga went with Kleberson. Abrao, Luiz Mello

Dungo could keep Bastos at left-back, play Josue at no.5, Gilberto Silva (as usual) at no.8, and Dani Alves at no.7. There are many other permutations. The main worry, for Dunga, is the threat posed by Robben to the left-side of Brazil's defence. Bastos isn't a very good defender, but he has already played against Robben in CL. Gilberto is pretty old, and has only played a few minutes in this WC. Dani Alves is a possibility, but his versatility will have been wasted if he played there. Dungo will more profitably use him at no.7 and, with Maicon, attack GvB incessantly (so Holland will probably have to deploy Kuyt to help out in the left-wing).
