This is looking one of Anders's better predictions. Brazil are
still quite erratic but they're so goddamn good they can screw up 80%
of their chances and still lead 2-0 at the half. And their defense is
terrific. Great, great goal by Fabiano and great header by Juan. Kaka
certainly is back in form.

HT 2-0 (Juan 33, Fabiano 37)

Clinical dissection by the soon-to-be six-time champions.

They can only beat themselves, and displays like this are why -- when
they are on (and they haven't been, really, for the whole 45 minutes),
you can't stop them. Chile had some play in the first 10-15 minutes,
but, after a great header by Juan and a wonderful pass (onside!) to
Fabiano, 2-0 is flattering to Chile.

I expect a cynical second half.

Chile did all they could. Brazil are just too strong. Only a few of
the elite teams have any chance against them. Their energy level is
impressive and all 11 of them are very good at controlling the ball
when the dribble. Compare that to the US who only have Donovan and
Dempsy who can control the football.

If Kaka doesn't get sent off or suspended -- he was called for a shirt
pull on yellow (and, by the Laws, that should mean red).

But you just said it: They can screw up 80% of their chances and
still so outclass the other team, it looks like there's only one side
on the pitch.

59' 3-0 (Juan 33, Fabiano 37, Robinho 59)

More clinical dissection by the soon-to-be six-time champions.

When you're this good, you can foul up many of your chances, and still
get gems like Ramirez's run to free up Robinho and there's no prayer
at this point.
