Several great shots by him met great saves, but his last shot to get the 2-0, after running past most of the defense, was straight at the keeper when a little looper would have scored. Klose missed two like that today before his header broke his duck. -- ciao, Bruce drift wave turbulence: http://www.rzg.mpg.de/~bds/

If you wish to align yourself with someone who is whinging about England failing to ever win by more than 1 clear goal, feel free to hunt for fairies at the bottom of my garden
From: UnixDeveloper on 13 Jun 2010 20:19 William Clark, I am an England fan and I am telling you, England did not dominate that game. The OP is right. England had 86 minutes to get the second goal and they didn't. Heskey is terrible. If Owen or Torres had that opportunity, they would have scored. That's the difference between a great striker and a merely good striker. Great strikers are samrt as well. I believed in the hype created by the English media. After seeing the first 3 days, I don't see England going past the quarter-finals (due to the lucky draw) if at all.

I am simply stating that England were wasteful. Green was just incompetent.

I enjoy watching the MLS when I can. |
