I didn't say BBC is lying. Somebody is.

No you blithering idiot... it was all over RP-Online at the time of the
transfer. Either 4M or 8M, I don't recall which is why I told you to
google.

I do realise you have no idea what sort of figure you're cutting in
these newsgroups.

On 31 January 2008, he moved to Werder Bremen from Schalke for a
reported fee of €4.3 million, signing a contract 30 June 2011.

So I guess if Werder want to make some money they will sell soon?
Maybe some deal with Bayern in return for Toni Kroos and Gomez?

Whatever. I am glad others picked up this. I posted here after the
1st 2 games saying he was the best looking player in the Cup so far.
Against Australia he easily but for bad bounces should have had two
goals and another assist. His antiicpation is amazing. He plays a lot
like Modric or Rosicky, and hell, even Messi. I would love to see him
in the EPL with a team that badly needs a creative midfielder like ManU
or Liverpool. But Citeh is the only team with 60 million euros or
pounds or whatever in the EPL this season.
