From: Google Beta User on 29 Jan 2010 17:11 Wasn't Terry selected as captain to be a "proper role model" and that he'd be a "great ambassador" for the League association and the team? Gerrard, Rio or even Barry would've been better options. (Though Gerrard and Rio have also had "incidents" in the past, albeit single incidents).

Why does this surprise anyone? Terry's past is well publicised. Gagging order or not Rio has been mothered by Man U. But has still fallen on a number of occasions Gerrard is a disgrace. Not only was he involved in a GBH ccase with incredible CCTV footage, but he's also reknowned for having links with certain drug mafias in the city. The current crop of modern day role models are not worth pissing on. We ALL know that. Anyone who believes we have footballers akin to Kofi Anan needs their bumps feeling. Bring back Vinny Jones and Pat Van Den Heuwe. Nothing was hidden there. -- Moog "Some mornings it doesn't seem worth it to gnaw through the leather straps"

Could be and I wager there were a few fags in the family lol I would not be surprised if much of the Churchill family wealth was made on tobacco plantations. -- Count Baldoni In hoc signo vinces |
