The only guy left in the tournament from Fulham, Everton, NE Revs or
Pachuca--Johnny Heitinga.

And, since Heitinga sort of rhymes with Nanninga (who, was credited (by
most people with the last goal scored by Holland in a WC Final)*, then I
guess I'm expecting a Dutch win. This theory, of course, only applies
if the game doesn't go to penalty kicks.

*Yes, I am aware that he was not credited by the referee with this goal.

If Holland pushes forward they have a chance; going timid like
Germany will bring defeat.
What's the keeper situation??

Since the referee, Gonella, missed every other call in that match,
it's not surprising that he screwed that up as well. There is no
question that Nanninga scored the goal and you're welcome to come over
to my house and see it if you don't believe me.

Of course, I never said Nanninga shouldn't be credited with it. The
only replay I ever say was unclear, but I do know that the referee in
his official game report to FIFA credited it to Jan Poortvliet.

Here is a very clear replay. As you can see, Portvliet, no. 2, is
standing in front of Nanninga, who makes a tremendous leap to head it
in. Then, running back to the center circle, they hug. The ref (and
the TV director) obviously got confused about who was congratulating
whom).

This is an interesting collection of highlights, since it leaves
out Rensenbrink hitting the post in injury time on a through ball from
Krol. Since it shows the other saves against the Dutch it's a bit
odd.
