They don't. Some of the journalists were complaining that video replays
of controversial incidents were not shown in the stadia. When one got
shown by mistake, there was a near riot.

Press accounts say the Lampard goal was shown in the stadium.

Yes, I think that was "one that got away". But the rule was that these
replays were not shown.

Replays CAN be shown, but not for controversial decisions?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/feedarticle/9147444

"This shouldn't happen," FIFA spokesman Nicolas Maingot told a news
conference. "Replays can be shown but not when there are controversial
situations. We will work on this and be tighter in future."
"It has worked so far very well. Last night was a mistake. It should
not happen again," he added, declining to answer numerous questions on
the contentious decisions made by referees and FIFA's rejection of
goal line technology.

Not to ruin the joke and/or hijack the thread, but actually just about
every US sport uses replays.

Baseball? Check, though only for HRs.
Football? Check, for lines and possession
Basketball? Check, for 3pt line and buzzer-beaters
Ice Hockey? Check, for goal-no goal
Tennis? Check, for all line calls.
Horse and auto racing? Check, for the finish.
Golf? Since fans can call in and call penalties on players, I say
yes.
Boxing/MMA? They don't. Neither does pro wrestling :)
Lacrosse? No idea. Probably can't afford it.
Poker? No
