Hungary 1954:

QF Brazil
SF Uruguay (yet unbeaten defending Champion)
F Germany .... LOST

France 1986:

R16: Italy (defending Champion)
QF: Brazil
SF: Germany .... LOST

Germany 2010:

R16: England
QF: Argentina
SF: Spain (European Champion) ... LOST???

The quintessence is that, despite being the best team and beating the
hardest opponents in their paths at the end it looks always like they
are doomed to lose??!

54 Hungary and 86 France had one disadvantage - they had to play
Germany at the end of their runs.
Can't happen to Germany.

True, and Germany doesn't have to play Brazil. But if Germany wins this
it will be an amazing run.

The problem in playing great teams back to back is that attrition can
cause a progressive a loss of quality to the squad. Just look at
Germany, Muller is lost through suspension and Ozil looked to be at
75% capacity vs Argentina.
