As the great American football coach John Madden said, "I do not believe in
the prevent defense. All it does is prevent you from winning".

Germany played entirely too much defense as if they were playing for a 120
minute scoreless match followed by a kickoff.

If you are playing to win you have to attack the other goal most of the
time. That is how the winning sides do it.

And I predict that you will see this scoreless nonsense Sunday. Holland and
Spain are coming to play ball.

They had no choice with Spain maintaining so much possession.
