Well played, Jesus. I realized almost immediately how badly I had screwed
up. I was doomed once I gave up on all the defenders. Things could have been
slightly more respectable had I picked Freund instead of Vinnie Jones as DM,
and switched positions between de Boer and Radford (but probably not: I
would have probably won one point with de Boer, but Chierico would have
scored three).

This is really not an easy game, and that's why it's fun: even if we knew
exactly each player's score at every position, the optimal strategy would be
far from trivial.

You did well to pick Carlos Alberto, the only right back (that move
made all LWs useful for you and useless for me!), but I quickly
realized that the key was getting as many defenders as possible before
they ran out, and also I got the only left back. With two right
wingers available, I could leave this pick for near the end, after I
had picked ALL the central defenders and some strikers to take profit
of your patched central defense. It turned out that my RW was the best
one! If you had Chierico instead of Radford, you'd score one more
goal!

Yes, because for every coup there are different countermeasures.

Tchau!

And above all, thanks to Milivella for the fun game idea and to my
fellow players for the nice games!
