In 2000, the French saved their final thanks to a last-gap effort of Mr. Jens Larsen, the Danish linesman who wrongly gave a throw in to France giving them the chance to score in the last action of the match. The same guy 2 years later wrongly ruled offside 2 Italian goals, 2, against Croatia, and later he even admitted that. -- ale http://ale.riolo.co.uk

My two problems with that team are, and the first is always controversial, that the Copa America is nowhere as hard as the ECs, and second, Brazil's path in 2002 was remarkably easily.

Until Trezeguet's goal it was probably the best Italy had played in years, a lot of it thanks to Totti. He was phenomenal.
