I truly believe if we could get them to recreate club form, they'd be in a group of five or six in with a chance of world cup glory. They play as though they're paralysed with fear....they are NOT the same players we all see week in week out. We've seen them play with fear at Wembley, and choke, then go abroad and tear someone a new arsehole. They need a bloody shrink as much as they do a decent coach. A decent skipper wouldn't go amiss either. Gerrard never re-created the skippering abilities he has shown for Liverpool. Listening to their own fans booing will not have helped with their fragile state of mind....but you can almost forgive it. There was a bloke who re-mortgaged his house for his World Cup funds on telly the other day. In the end, though, booing is fundamentally wrong....and it helps no one. -- Legend-11 Forget about Ronaldo. Your Carlos Tevez too. 'Cos we've got a player who's United through and through. He just might tw*t your groundsman, and bomb down your wing, He's French, he's fast, he's f*cking CLASS, so hear United sing: Tra la laa, it's Patrice Evra, tra la laa laa laa laa laa...

The problem with Capello is he doesn't take advantage of a players strength (or weakness). He was supposed to come in and be the iron man and no one was sacred. Yet Frank Lampard continues to blow chunks every time he puts on the England shirt. I'd never say that Carrick was a better overal player than Lampard but FFS England has had about enough of the Lampard experiment and it's time to try the other bloke, he couldn't have done any worse could he? Joe Cole is another that sits rotting on the bench, he's a flair player that could just add that spark to this dismal looking England team. Shake it up Capello, dump the holy cows and play Gerrard in the position he prefers and let him support Rooney. Gerrard has been in fair form and if he's given his head he'll do some damage. They ought to try living in the real world for a while, struggling to pay bills and watching their faithful wags disappear over the horizon. That England performance was the worst I've seen in over 40 years, and considering the amount of money it cost those fans to be there, the booing was thoroughly deserved.
From: colin fishwick on 19 Jun 2010 04:09 if you were a scout for a championship or league 1 team you would not reccomend any of englands players to your manager on the evidence of the 2 perfomances so far. all the hype in the world isnt going to make the "big 3 (Rooney Gerard and Lampard)" play any better. at least it will be all over next wednesday and maybe they can share a plane with the germans.
