Then what do you suppose the reasons have been for the lack of success
in the past 5 years?

Show me where I have ever claimed that Arsenal's debt was out of
control? What I claim is the debt of the new stadium has contributed
to Arsenal's lack of silverware for the last 5 years.

Arsenal fans worship Wenger and it's true he's a great manager. He's
kept them semi competitive on a shoestring budget. Why do you suppose
that Man City are suddenly going to be a threat in the league? I'll
answer for you, because they have spent money on new players! Even
the most avid Arsenal fan would surely admit that the team needs some
new players but my point is Arsenal have been unable to compete
financially with other top clubs and the reason for that has been the
debt from building the new stadium.
Since you brought up Benitez I'll answer that question. Benitez
was/is a poor judge of talent he wasted millions on a scattergun
approach to buying, I maintain that Ferguson and Wenger have spent
their money much wiser.

No, Arsenal have been unwilling to be as irresponsible as those who ran
Leeds, for one example... or who are currently running Mercenaries
United, for another example.

You're smart enough to know all of this, of course... you're just
desperate to take a stab at Arsenal.

Don't know why you are so defensive, maybe it's because you know I
post the truth, and I'm not taking any stab at Arsenal. You are just
hiding from reality
