I'm trying to act methodically, and I'm winding down the IFFHS list: http://www.iffhs.de/?b4a390f03be4ac07cda17b45fdcdc3bfcdc0aec70aed02 so sooner or later I'll arrive at Jardel. Here are all the players that I have in my growing database, ranked by (real or predicted) goals at the end of their career (it seems to me the best way to present the ranking, but I'm not sure): 503 Romario 475 Pele 385 Carlos Bianchi 366 Greaves 365 Gerd Mueller 355 Onnis 331 Fernando Gomes 320 Eusebio 311 van der Kuijlen 305 Aguero 277 Fernando Torres 274 Geels 270 Messi 267 Luis Alberto Suarez 264 Makaay 263 Cruyff 258 Maradona 255 Henry 255 Ronaldo 251 Villa 251 Van Nistelrooy 249 Cristiano Ronaldo 246 Eto'o 236 Rooney 234 Hugo Sanchez 232 Higuain 213 Tevez 199 Bobby Charlton 192 Dinamite 185 Ibrahimovic 182 Polster 164 Ronaldinho 159 Milito 159 Benzema 157 Zico 149 Radamel Falcao 148 Bent 148 Lampard 144 Dzeko 138 Drogba 132 Oscar Cardozo 126 Kiessling 112 El Hamdaoui 109 van Persie 109 Di Natale 77 Chinaglia 54 Junker 53 Ruiz 47 Beckenbauer 34 Krankl 5 Jose Cardozo -- Cheers milivella

And the seasonal data are taken from Wikipedia to boot! :) Indeed, if I'll keep searching for the players on that list (I've looked up to 77. McCoist), I'll reach 168. Batistuta 199. Raul 282. Baggio I know that IFFHS is buggy, but I think that I can be 80% sure that only the following 12 players have scored more than 270 goals (in the selected championships, debuting after 1995): Romario Pele Bianchi, Carlos Greaves Mueller, Gerd Onnis Gomes, Fernando Eusebio van der Kuijlen Shearer Geels ....and that's enough for me. :) -- Cheers milivella |
