From: The Scrutineer on 7 Aug 2010 15:28 Ben Foster (Birmingham), Joe Hart (Manchester City), Paul Robinson (Blackburn Rovers) Wes Brown (Manchester United), Gary Cahill (Bolton Wanderers), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Michael Dawson (Tottenham Hotspur), Kieran Gibbs (Arsenal), Phil Jagielka (Everton), Glen Johnson (Liverpool), John Terry (Chelsea) Gareth Barry (Manchester City), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Adam Johnson (Manchester City), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), James Milner (Aston Villa), Ashley Young (Aston Villa), Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Jack Wilshere (Arsenal) Darren Bent (Sunderland), Carlton Cole (West Ham United), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Bobby Zamora (Fulham) Wow, THREE Arsenal players, maybe some brighter times ahead!!! Shock in Terry still being in the squad, Lampard after his slamming of the fixture!!! But then again it is a friendly against a team who have been a fallen giant for more than half a century now, still being haunted by past legends who have never been emulated!!!

LOL I wish they can go through another era like they did in the mid 1900s, I don't think anyone would begrudge that!!! Particulary as most people alive today either didn't see it, or were not old enough to understand football to a decent extent. Or were simply not alive at the time, which is where I fall into!!!
From: The Scrutineer on 7 Aug 2010 16:14 I watched Liverpool play in the Europa league, and how Joe Cole wasn't selected in this squad is absolutely unbelievable!!!
From: Insane Ranter on 7 Aug 2010 19:22 Will the GK be throwing the ball into his own goal this game?

Some interesting selections, although this has to be one of the most meaningless friendly matches of all time. The timing is appalling.
