I didn't expect Liverpool to be that bad, and they did start brightly enough.
As they had a tough game on Thursday in the Europa League, I did think that
Chelsea would have a good chance of getting the win. Obviously the Gerrard
back pass couldn't be planned for, but after that Liverpool never looked like
causing any trouble to the Chelsea defence, and even the Kop didn't try and
'suck the ball in to the net'. A strange atmosphere, and a very tame
Liverpool performance once Chelsea went one-nil up.

None of my friends who are Liverpool fans are too disappointed by it either!

So if Liverpool never had any hope of beating Chelsea, what are you
complaining about?

He's not sure, he's just very bitter and is venting in circles :-)

Indeed, time for the pantomime to end at Anfield. Ditch these two
American ponces who "own" the club, let Benitez move on, and then start
to build a team that reflects the Liverpool psyche. Dump the
temperamental Latins (keep Torres, though (I wish!)) and replace them
with players with grit and heart. Run the other EPL teams to death,
don't give them a second on the ball, get the fans back into it, and the
results will come. Finally, build this new stadium and up the revenue
base.

Strange that in all the talk, I have not heard the notion of Mourinho
for LFC. Seems to me he is the kind of character that Liverpudlians
would love - droll, witty, and passionate. Seems to me, too, that he has
a thing for Anfield and the fans, judging by his demeanour after the ECL
semi there he lost with Chelsea.
