Don't think so. Masch is fleeing as fast as he can. It's a panic buy
to fill the ball winner role. You don't send one of your best
attacking force into crunching tackles (they hurt!), Lucas Leiva is
neither above average in ball winning or ball distributing (Alonso) --
he's a box-to-box midfielder square peg shoved into a round hole for
too long.

The link to Defour was too promising, as it turned out. Football
already sucked.

They have no money to buy good players. Get used to it. The EPL is
basically bankrupt!
