Do they? From the team + bench that day, only Klose is in this game. Not that there isn't a national feeling about that game, but it was, as you say a WCQ and it didn't really impact Germany's progress into the finals. Is there really such a strong desire for revenge for /that/ game? Sid -- 1234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890 remove the espam bits to mail

More significantly, Schweini, Mueller, and Klose are out now... : Not that there isn't a national feeling about that game, but it was, : as you say a WCQ and it didn't really impact Germany's progress into : the finals. Is there really such a strong desire for revenge for /that/ : game? I think for players who grew up in the Munich area there would have been. Gomez donkey-kicking his chance away ended it for today though. I maintain: 4-1 is a totally deserved result. -- ciao, Bruce drift wave turbulence: http://www.rzg.mpg.de/~bds/

Gerrard and Lampard are a shadow of their usual selves, Terry has been exactly his usual self (pretty useless when not carried by Carvalho/Alex and the Chelski midfield), Carra was too slow and Upson is not good enough. And with fullbacks like Cole/Johnson, the CB pairing needs to be rock solid. I should have seen this coming, but I had hope for the English team. -- /jussi - It's 106 miles to Chicago. Well I had it wrong Schweini was still in to the end, and was playing like he wanted the 5-1 (he is from Rosenheim, just down the road towards Salzburg). : : Not that there isn't a national feeling about that game, but it was, : : as you say a WCQ and it didn't really impact Germany's progress into : : the finals.
