I think what you mean is, when it's a drought, it's a famine.

A bit premature with your brackets, no ?

Surely this should read:

Holland/Japan/Denmark - Brazil/Portugal/ -
Chile/Switzerland/Spain/Honduras or something like that.

It is still possible for Brazil, Spain, England, Germany, Paraguay,
Mexico, Argentina and the NL to end up on the same side of the draw.
Ouch ! Portugal instead of Brazil doesn't really help much either.

In fact, if the NL finishes behind eg. Denmark (unlikely but possible),
Portugal should probably not try to win their match vs. Brazil as they
could end up with a relatively good shot at making the final on that
side of the bracket.

Actually it's the other way around. The winner of group G will AVOID
Arg/Ger/Eng/2nd of E until the final.

Tchau!

You are right, I got twisted around as usual.

I peered into a crystal ball and that is what I saw.

I was trying to give a clearer picture of the quarter-final bracket,
not confuse the hell out the guy. ;-)

I expect Brazil and Spain to make this happen. It's a bit like the
lopsided Champions League draw of this year.

Jesus answered this and it's why I think the Portugal-Brazil clash is
quite meaningful now.
