Manchester United could have asked for 150 million today and Real
Madrid would have payed after his record breaking season with Real. 32
goals so far, 25 goals in 27 matches in the league, he is basically
carrying Real on his shoulders. Ronaldo and Messi are an awesome
spectacle and the spanish league is very lucky to have them both.

Yes they are; shame about the rest of the league.

I think that's a bit unfair. It's true that it's awkward how all the
other teams fold to Real and Barcelona as if they are just not there.
But there is no doubt in my mind that Real and Barcelona are the two
best and most powerful teams in the world with the best collection of
players. Real and Barca would do the same in any other league and
probably with more ease. They are the two supercarriers of world
football. And next season with the collection of reinforcements they
expect is going to get even ugllier for everybody else.

Lets not forget that a team from the Spanish liga that has been
fighting relegation for a long period and that had to fire the coach
in the process can actually win the Europa Cup. If la liga is so weak
how can that happen?. What league has done better than the spanish
league in european competition this season?. The spanish league is
suspect but so are the rest of leagues in Europe.

That's largely down to the way TV money is distributed in Spain. Both Real
and Barcelona negotiate their own TV deals, and therefore earn far more than
if the league negotiated collectively and distributed the money as evenly as
the Premier League.

If they were so good they'd be contesting the Champions League final.
The fact that the 3rd placed team in La Liga are 25 points off 1st place
is a damning indictment of the current state of La Liga. Beating up
second rate teams in Spain is no preparation for Champions League
football as Real Madrid have found to their cost in recent years. The
last time Real Madrid won the European Cup they finished 3rd in La Liga,
behind Valencia and Deportivo.
