No. I said they were completely arbitrary:

All Brazilian teams: 70 UEFA points (roughly equivalent to Villarreal
or Bordeaux)
All Argentinian teams: 40 UEFA points (~ Anderlecht, Bayer Leverkusen,
PSG)
Mexico, MLS, Japan, Korea, all other SA leagues: 20 UEFA points (~
Livorno, Salzburg, Maccabi Haifa)
Everybody else: 5 UEFA points (~ Stabaek, Bnei Yehuda, Hammarby,
Malmoe)

Still, if they work (and they do), they're OK for me. :)

Probably the main problem is that all the teams from a league, the top
ones like the bottom ones, receive the same amount of points. But I
see that you couldn't reasonably do anything else.
